Is there more to life than working hard and paying bills? Day after day we go through the motions of just trying to get by. We search for happiness and love in ways that will never bring us fulfillment. Whether it’s money, the perfect body, or a big home, the truth is that no matter what we have in this this world will satisfy us.
As a child, I was at church every time the doors were open. Maybe your childhood wasn’t like this. Are you curious about having a real, genuine relationship with God but you become easily distracted by the temptations of this world? I struggle with this as well even after all of those years in the church.
Our true satisfaction must come from Jesus Christ.
Today, I hope to encourage you on how to take your faith to the next level. I see your Facebook posts that say you’ve had enough and that you are ready to focus on God’s plan. I also see when you fall back into those old habits. I’m guilty of doing this as well.
Commit to make a change in the way you are doing life. Make it known to Christ, your spouse, your family and your friends. Accountability is a strong tool to help keep us on the right path. Having the support of a godly spouse or friend is extremely helpful when it comes to truly changing your life. This also means that we must choose our friends wisely.
If we want to know God’s will then we must spend time with Lord everyday. If you need to get up 15 minutes earlier, than make a habit of doing this. God communicates with us through his Word so this must be part of our daily routine.
Next, train your mind to always think of God’s promises. Uplifting quotes are great but nothing beats the Word of God. This is where we find true wisdom. Also, train your tongue to think before speaking.
Try to listen more and talk less.
Maybe you don’t have anyone to keep you accountable. If you are desperately searching for true contentment and happiness, then please consider joining us on Facebook or contact me personally. I would love to chat with you about your faith and what’s going on in your life.
God does have a plan for you! Find out what it’s like to truly live and find peace knowing that you have purpose. Search your heart and ask God to reveal what is most valuable to you. Ask Him to show you what needs to change.
Let’s encourage each other in the comments below. What’s your favorite Bible verse? It may touch someone’s heart today, so please share it!
