When I was 17 years old, I traveled to Haiti with a group of strangers from the summer camp that I went to each year. I was in shock as I witnessed the poverty and daily challenges that the Haitians face. As an American teenager, I quickly realized how much we take for granted.
Hurricane Matthew has left major damage in this country. Today on Embracing a Simpler Life, I’m sharing with you how to support Haiti and other countries living in poverty this Christmas. I’ve listed websites and organizations that give back to those in need.
